Andrew Weichel is the digital manager for CTV Vancouver.
He joined the newsroom in June 2009 as a reporter and editor, and his contributions helped CTV earn a coveted Edward R. Murrow Award for Best News Website the following year.
He's since led gripping online coverage of several municipal, provincial and federal elections, including the historic 2017 vote that left British Columbians with their first minority government since the 1950s.
Andrew has also reported on numerous provincial and federal Supreme Court decisions, including landmark cases on the Insite supervised injection facility and physician-assisted suicide.
The 34-year-old B.C. native grew up in the Okanagan before moving to Vancouver and studying journalism at Langara College.
