Since coming on board he’s covered municipal, provincial and federal elections as well as numerous local and national Supreme Court decisions, including landmark cases on the Insite safe injection facility and physician-assisted suicide.
He also reported on the riots that erupted at the 2010 Winter Olympics and the 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs, the Occupy Vancouver protest and B.C.’s historic harmonized sales tax referendum. His contributions helped earn CTV a coveted Edward R. Murrow Award for Best News Website in 2010.
Before signing on with CTV News, Andrew worked as a film critic and newspaper reporter for WE in Vancouver, covering local park board and school board issues as well as the arts. He has also worked as a videographer on projects for the Vancouver Sun, Vancouver School Board and YWCA.
The B.C. native grew up in the Southern Okanagan before attending the University of British Columbia and earning a journalism diploma from Langara College.
