Premier Christy Clark says the Liberal candidate in Peace River South may support a review of fracking -- which is a method of extracting natural gas -- but she says that doesn't mean Mike Bernier opposes Liberal plans for the natural gas resource.

Speaking in Kamloops this morning, Clark tried to clarify Bernier's comments, saying his support for a review should not be seen as backing the NDP's call for a scientific review of natural gas extraction.

According to Clark, the New Democrat plan is aimed only at halting natural gas development -- something she says Bernier does not support.

Meanwhile, NDP leader Adrian Dix was in Vancouver promising his party would help boost the number of high tech jobs in B.C. by enhancing venture capital programs and setting up partnerships between the government and technology firms.
