Mounties in Surrey say a teen who was missing for about a month has been found.

In an initial news release Friday, Surrey RCMP said the teen's family hadn't been able to reach her since Aug. 25.

While it isn't unusual for her to be out of contact, police said her family was concerned for her well-being.

Mounties issued an update Monday saying she was found safe.
