Penticton RCMP have charged two teenaged boys in connection with an armed robbery at a gas station.

Police say the 14 and 16-year-olds held up a store clerk at the Shell station on Government Rd. November 3, threatening her with a knife and a tomahawk before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The duo both wore makeshift balaclavas during the alleged theft. Both have now been charged with robbery and face disguised with intent.

The 14-year-old plead guilty in a Penticton court Monday and will remain in custody until his sentencing on January 5. The 16-year-old, who police describe as the accomplice, has been released and is due to appear in court December 15.

Both boys are Westbank residents.
