Mounties are hoping the public can help shed light on the final days of a missing Metro Vancouver teenager whose body was discovered hundreds of kilometres from home last week.

Burnaby resident Oliver Mora Zamarripa was reported missing on Oct. 18, days after he was last seen with friends in downtown Vancouver.

Sadly, as police were investigating the 19-year-old's disappearance, he was found dead in the area of Lytton, a small village located between Hope and Lillooet.

Mounties said Zamarripa's death is considered suspicious and is under investigation by the "E" Division Major Crime Unit.

They have asked anyone with information on his activities prior to Nov. 1, when his body was discovered, to come forward and call their tip line at 778-290-3900.
