After a successful kickoff to our new High School Heroes segment last Friday at Burnaby Lakes, CTV Sports is heading to New Westminster for the Hyacks homecoming tonight.
Our High School Heroes game of the week will feature the New West Hyacks (0-1) and the Terry Fox Ravens (1-0).
The Hyacks dropped their season opener 40-20 to the W.J. Mouat Hawks this past Friday, while the upstart Terry Fox Ravens knocked off the highly touted Vancouver College Fighting Irish 19-14.
Tonight's High School Heroes feature will focus on the return of the New West Cheer and Stunt team. After a nine-year hiatus the cheer team will make their debut on live television during CTV News at Six.
CTV British Columbia's Sports Director Perry Solkowski will be live at Mercer Stadium in New Westminster reporting for CTV News at Five and Six.
