B.C.'s Integrated Homicide Team has been called in to probe the discovery of a man's body inside a rural Mission home.
Police were first alerted to the home in the 30700-block of Keystone Avenue Monday night at 11:11 p.m.
Once inside the home officers "determined there were some suspicious circumstances surrounding the death" and notified the Mission RCMP Serious Crimes Section, according to Cpl. Dale Carr.
Investigators believe the man had been met with foul play.
"IHIT Investigators will be working throughout the rural neighbourhood conducting inquiries to see what if anything neighbours will be able to offer as information regarding a time line," Carr said.
The man has been identified but his name is not being released.
Carr says an autopsy will be conducted once the Lower Mainland District Forensic Identification Section finishes its crime scene investigation at the home.
He says it is too early to link the death to drugs, gangs or organized crime.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the IHIT tip line at 1-877-551-IHIT.
