Critics of Community Living BC rallied outside the Victoria legislature Sunday morning to urge the provincial government to adopt several recommendations against service cuts for people living with disabilities.

The group is also calling for a full evaluation of programs that currently exist.

“They need to revamp all of CLBC. Keeping the top players involved in CLBC isn't going to work; that mindset that's there right now is going to stay there. They need a whole new plate. They need to start fresh,” Kimberly Yanko said.

The province says it remains committed to supporting people with developmental disabilities, providing an additional $40 million to improve services.

But the action group says that’s still not enough.
