Mounties are investigating after 41 car windows were broken in North Vancouver over the weekend.

The rash of vandalism is believed to have been committed between 11 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday, from the Lynn Valley to Grand Boulevard neighbourhoods.

The perpetrator or perpetrators likely used a pellet gun to target cars parked in residential areas, according to the RCMP.

“Police are very concerned over the actions of those responsible for the willful damage caused to people’s personal property,” Cpl. Richard De Jong said in a statement. ”Fortunately no one was injured in these criminal acts.”

The cost of replacing all the broken windows is estimated to top $30,000.

No suspects have been arrested, but Mounties are still in the process of following up on tips and analyzing security footage.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact the North Vancouver RCMP detachment at 604-985-1311, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
