Abbotsford police have released a sketch of a suspect in a terrifying sexual assault that took place earlier this month.

The incident took place Nov. 20, when a 42-year-old woman was walking along Bourquin Crescent West near the Mill Lake boardwalk.

The suspect allegedly jumped out from an entrance to the boardwalk, grabbed the woman from behind and pulled her into the park.

The woman was grabbed, groped and struck by her attacker, according to police. She was able to push him off and run away in the ensuing struggle.

The suspect is described as a white man between 30 and 40 years old, 5’9” tall with facial stubble and short dark hair.

He was reportedly wearing dark track pants, white running shoes and a dark hoodie with a circular design at the time of the attack.
