Police in B.C. are investigating two separate shootings that happened overnight in Delta and Mission.

Sgt. Sharlene Brooks said a 25-year-old man was shot in the lower body at about 9:30 p.m. on Thursday near 116th Street and 83rd Avenue in Delta. The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police were still investigating the incident Friday morning and said that witnesses were not co-operating with police.

It is not known whether the shooting was targeted.

Mission RCMP responded to reports of shots fired in the 8500-block of Cedar Street at about 3:30 a.m. Friday.

Sgt. David Field said in a press release that a 23-year-old man was located in a home with non-life-threatening gun shot wounds. Field said the victim was conscious and able to walk to the ambulance.

Police said the man is known to police and the incident appears to be targeted.
