Surrey RCMP have released photos of the man they believe is responsible for beating and sexually assaulting a 70-year-old woman in her own home on Wednesday.

The senior, who was bound and restrained during the daytime break-and-enter in South Surrey, was “traumatized” by the horrific assault, and has been hospitalized for her injures.

The pictures from RCMP, taken at an RBC branch in Langley, show a clean-shaven man between 20 and 30-years-old with no visible scars or tattoos.

At the time of the incident he had shoulder-length, light coloured hair that may be a wig.

Cpl. Scotty Schumann said it’s hoped someone will recognize the suspect and alert police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
