When Dave told me he was going on the road with 54-40 for the month of November it didn't really cross my mind just how long that month would seem. I'm half way through his Canadian tour and let me tell you - it's hard to be on your own with two babies! Holy cow, I'm either feeding, bathing, changing, burping or playing with someone - all day long! My mom watched Beckett and Zo today while I raked the leaves in the front yard - I use to love the big birch tree, not so much these days! I'm exhausted. The good old days of me sitting on the couch in my PJ's with an US Magazine are over.  Don't get me wrong, I'm having a great time and I love being a mom, it's just really busy and being organized is my biggest challenge. I'm trying to learn how to function on little sleep, it's definitely getting easier but I'm looking forward to Zo sleeping longer than 4 hours in a row.

Beckett is a man on the move these days, he likes to crawl and stand - he's pretty funny and thank goodness, a self entertainer. Zo is still such a tiny baby, she's eight weeks old and weighs 11 pounds 14 ounces and is 24 inches long, Beckett still isn't sure what to make of her. Stanley on the other hand is definitely feeling the presence of another baby, he's being very patient - sometimes his breakfast becomes lunch. A few weeks ago I let Stanley out before bedtime to go do his business, he took that opportunity to chase a skunk in the backyard, just what I wanted to deal with at 11pm - such a good time. Stanley really is a good boy, he's amazing with Beckett and very patient about getting his beard pulled....his favorite place to hang out is under the highchair.

So right now, Beckett is fed and bathed and sleeping nice and snug,

Zo is fed and bathed and not tired at all...my little beauty is calling and I need to go!
