A Whistler, B.C. DJ who went missing almost two months ago has been found dead.

Mike Grefner, 34, disappeared in the early morning hours of Jan. 17 after a night of partying in the Whistler Village. His body was discovered in a wooded area near the Alpine Meadows subdivision on Saturday.

Mounties say there is no sign that Grefner met with foul play, but investigators are still looking into how he died.

The popular DJ was reported missing when he did not show up for work at Maxx Fish nightclub, which friends said was highly unusual. His friends last saw him leaving Garfinkel's nightclub, and a taxi company told police a driver dropped him off at home around 2 a.m.

His phone records show that he made several calls until about 5:15 a.m. and friends he spoke with reported he was in good spirits -- if slightly intoxicated. A Pemberton waitress reported spotting him dining with a woman later that afternoon, but police did not find any new leads after that.

The Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dog Association was called in to help in the search around Grefner's home, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
