Police in Maple Ridge, B.C., are warning the public about a man charged with sexual assault for allegedly targeting young and mentally ill men on public transit.

Richard Richardson, a 58-year-old Maple Ridge resident, was granted bail after being charged with sexual assault against a male. One of the conditions of his bail order is that he is forbidden from renting out rooms in his home without informing renters of the current charges against him and his criminal record.

RCMP believe that Richardson rides local buses to meet young men. He allegedly provides them with a business card with contact information; police are urging any who meets Richardson not to call him.
