ENDERBY, B.C. -- A log jam on the Shuswap River washed out a road and brought down power lines in B.C.'s north Okanagan.
The washout, early Friday morning, severed the Enderby Mable Lake Road, about 25 kilometres east of Enderby.
There's no word when that route will reopen as officials also investigate reports that a bridge over the same river is clogged with debris upstream of the washout.
Localized flooding in the north Okanagan is one of several incidents affecting secondary routes around B.C.
Drive BC reports mudslides have closed Highway 23 north of Revelstoke and Highway 31 in the Kootenays.
The Revelstoke area enjoyed temperatures in the low 20's earlier this week with annual snowmelts beginning to affect river levels across the province.
