Officers made several arrests Tuesday at the site of a Langley grow-op after a federal crime unit investigation found it had been operating outside of its license, RCMP said Tuesday.

The serious and organized crimes unit investigation centers around a seven-acre property at Zero Avenue and 264 Street, near Aldergrove, according to federal RCMP spokeswoman Sgt. Laurie White.

Mounties say the licensed grow-op has been operating outside of its permit by growing more marijuana than it is authorized for.

They say the main focus of the investigation, which has been ongoing for a month, is a 51,000-square-foot barn that officers cleared out Tuesday.

White said several arrests have been made in the investigation, but no charges have been laid.

Investigators are expected to remain at the property for several hours.

The bust was the result of a partnership with Vancouver Police and several RCMP units, White said.
