The senior accused in the hit-and-run that killed Port Coquitlam teenager Annie Leung has pleaded guilty.
Irwin Richard Franz appeared in provincial court Wednesday and pleaded to one count of failure to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm.
The 73-year-old is scheduled to return for a sentencing hearing April 8.
Leung, a 16-year-old Riverside Secondary School student, was crossing the street with a friend the afternoon of Sept. 10, 2013 when she was hit by a truck.
She was rushed to hospital but succumbed to her injuries the next day.
Surveillance video captured near the accident showed a driver pulling over in a truck, running back toward the scene, then driving away.
