Search efforts for a missing 20-year-old Surrey man came to a sad conclusion Saturday afternoon, when a search party found his remains in a wooded area.

Police say the search party, organized by friends and family of Kevin Fry, came across his body in the Fraser Heights area at around 1 p.m. on Saturday near 110th Avenue and 154th Street.

The last contact Fry’s family had with him was on New Year’s Eve, when his twin sister asked him to come to a party with her that night. He said he wanted to stay home.

Fry was last seen by his roommate leaving the home early in the morning on Jan. 1. Police say foul play is not suspected.

This is not the first time Kevin's morther, Tracey Fry, has dealt with news of a missing family member. Her husband has been missing for 13 years.
