A man is dead and his wife is in custody after a stabbing at a Richmond apartment building early Tuesday morning.
Police were called to the 8700-block of Ackroyd Road around 12:30 a.m. and found a 38-year-old man who was unresponsive and suffering from stab wounds.
“It did appear that he was met with foul play and sustained injuries that are consistent with some type of edged weapon,” Sgt. Jennifer Pound said.
Attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful and he died at the scene.
The arrested woman is 35 years old.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is investigating and trying to determine the motive for the domestic dispute.
