Thank you for making CTV Tamara's Block Party 2009 a huge success!

More than two thousand smiling faces joined CTV's Tamara Taggart, Perry Solkowski, and Jason Pires and a host of CTV friends on Wednesday, July 15th at Queen's Park in New Westminster, B.C.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal from Mr. Mikes Steakhouse & Bar, and young children to grandparents danced to the fabulous live music of  Dr. Strangelove under the Queen's Bandshell.

Participants at this years block party also received the CTV 2010 Olympic Bobsleigh pin, the third pin in this collectible series.

Dozens of children became works of art thanks to beautiful face paintings by Angela from A-Star Art Parlour; amazing balloon creations from Sylvia the Balloon Lady.  And what is a block party with a giant inflatable bouncy castles from Party Works.

Many kids cooled off from the hot sunshine by getting into the dunk tank.  CTV's Perry Solkowski did it reluctantly, thanks to Tamara -- while fellow sports anchor Jason Pires didn't really have a choice in the matter.

Thank you for helping you make Tamara's Block Party such a success for 2009.  This a family event and already plans are underway for next summers edition of Tamara's Block Party.

Also - please watch CTV News at Six in the coming days for more information about another 2010 Olympic Pin release scheduled for next week.
