At Spokane, Wash., Mitch Wahl scored the early winner as the Chiefs held on for their fourth win in a row over Vancouver 2-1.
Levko Koper also had a goal for Spokane (10-6-1) with just 49 seconds left in the first period.
Brendan Gallagher scored on the power play for Vancouver (12-6-3).
Bruins solve Oil Kings in OT
Clearly, Ryan Howse has an impeccable sense of timing.
Howse scored two goals in the third period, and a third in overtime as the Chilliwack Bruins defeated the Edmonton Oil Kings 5-4 in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.
After Brent Raedeke scored two straight goals early in the third period to give Edmonton a 3-2 lead, Howse replied with two of his own to put Chilliwack up 4-3.
Brett Breitkreuz scored with less than two minutes left in regulation to send the game to overtime, but Howse came through for the Bruins again with a power-play goal 3:03 into the extra period.
Cougars fall in OT
At Moose Jaw, Sask., Brendan Rowinski's third goal of the game was the overtime winner as the Warriors beat Prince George 5-4.
Jesse Paradis and Ryan Stanton also scored for Moose Jaw (13-8-0).
Dallas Jackson, James Dobrowolski, Robbie Ciolfi and Brock Hirsche scored for the Cougars (3-13-2).
Blazers take care of Rockets
At Kamloops, B.C., Tyler Shattock scored twice to help the Blazers to a 5-3 victory over Kelowna.
Jimmy Bubnick also scored twice for Kamloops (10-9-2), and Dylan Willick added a marker.
Cody Chikie, Kyle St. Denis and Brandon McMillan replied for the Rockets (10-8-1).
