KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Kevin Connauton scored in the shootout Saturday to give the Vancouver Giants a 2-1 Western Hockey League victory over the Kamloops Blazers.
Connauton was the sixth shooter in the shootout and the only one to score.
Jimmy Bubnick had a pair for Kamloops (13-16-5), while Linden Saip and Matej Bene scored in regulation time.
Vancouver (22-11-3) got goals from Brendan Gallagher, Craig Cunningham, David Musil and Lance Bouma.
Kamloops goaltender Kurtis Mucha turned aside 32 shots, while Jamie Tucker of the Giants stopped 30.
