Vancouver Liberal MP Ujjal Dosanjh is going to be a guest on Stephen Colbert's comedy show later this month as part of Colbert's coverage of the Olympics.

Dosanjh will appear in a segment called "Better-Know-A-Riding", based on Colbert's interviews with American politicians from different constituencies.

Colbert caused a stir late last year when he called Canadians "iceholes", accusing them of hogging athlete time at the Olympic speed skating oval in Richmond.

"Those syrup suckers will not let our athletes practice at their Olympic venues," Colbert quipped on his Comedy Central show The Colbert Report.

Colbert made amends, however, after Richmond city officials offered the faux-pundit the role of Olympic ombudsman.

"As long as it requires no effort from me, I proudly accept."

He'll be taping his show in Vancouver next week on an outdoor set near the athlete's village in False Creek.
