Firefighters worked to put out a blaze at an abandoned building in Surrey early Sunday morning.
The fire broke out shortly after midnight near the intersection of 42nd Avenue and 184th Street.
Battalion Chief Tom Morgan told CTV News water had to be brought to the scene by tanker trucks because the building was not close enough to water lines.
The investigation into the blaze is in its early stages and it’s unclear whether it is suspicious.
“The building is abandoned, so we’re unsure of how it started,” Morgan said.
No one was inside at the time.
