Impact of credit cards on credit score
Eric wanted to know if your credit score is affected if you cancel a credit card. Credit consumer reporting agency, Equifax, says your credit score will not be affected by cancelling a card but says all transactions, both historical and recent, will continue to show up in a credit report for six years from the last date of activity. Eric also wanted to know if having too many credit cards affects your credit score. Equifax says credit score is measured on overall outstanding debt, not the number of credit cards a person has. So, you can have a lot of credit cards as long as you’re paying them off on time.
Why does the price of data plans vary across the country?
While researching Rogers data plans, Robert found that prices vary across the country and wondered why. Rogers told us that its prices do vary depending on the province because they’re based on customer needs and the competition in each individual marketplace. Bell, the parent company of CTV News, tells us its data prices are also dependent on the market.

Robert wanted to know if he orders stamps on line from Canada Post, does he have to pay the shipping cost? Canada post told us that there’s a $4.99 fee on orders less than $25, otherwise shipping is free.
