Victoria police are investigating after two 11-year-old girls were robbed and threatened near Hillside Mall Wednesday.

Victim Bailey Wallace said she and a friend were walking home from the mall at around 5 p.m. when they were approached by a man and a woman in their 20s who asked for the time.

"[The woman] said, 'Give me your phone, your money and your bags or else we'll stab you.'" Wallace said.

"I felt really dizzy... I was just really scared."

The girls handed over the items and the woman allegedly threatened to kill the girls if they told anyone.

The two victims ran home and told their mom, who called police. Neither of the girls were injured.

Both suspects are described as Caucasian and were wearing black clothes during the robbery.

Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call Victoria police at 250-995-7654 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
