Teen arrested after gun scare at Langley high school

A 17-year-old boy is under arrest after police say he took a replica handgun inside a high school in Langley, B.C.

The student was taken into custody after a two-hour lockdown at Langley Secondary School on Tuesday.

RCMP Cpl. Holly Marks says police received two separate reports of a man with a gun walking toward Langley Secondary School on Tuesday.

An emergency response team searched the building for a suspect, while students were kept in their classrooms and concerned parents flooded police and school phone lines. Police say no one was injured during the incident.
