Homicide investigators probing the fatal shooting of Simon Fraser University student Maple Batalia have released surveillance video of a suspect vehicle seen driving from the scene of her murder.

The surveillance images capture a white, late-model Dodge Charger with a sunroof near the university's Surrey campus on Sept. 28, the day Batalia was gunned down.

Cpl. Jennifer Pound urged any witnesses who may have seen the vehicle in the area early that morning to contact police.

On Friday, Batalia's father Harry made a public plea for his daughter's killer to come forward.

"Turn yourself to the law," he said. "There's no way you're going to hide for long."

The grieving father described his 19-year-old daughter as a "tender, soft spoken" angel who reminded him to take his medication and was "the life of my home."

Batalia would "never utter the word which would hurt me," he said.

The aspiring actress and model was killed in what police describe as a targeted attack.

No arrests have been made in Batalia's death, but as many as 50 investigators are assigned to the case.

Batalia's ex-boyfriend has been charged with assaulting her just days before her murder. Gurjinder "Gary" Dhaliwal, turned himself in on two assault charges on Monday.

The charges stem from an incident at a Tim Hortons donut shop on King George Highway on Sept. 24 against Batalia and a teenaged boy.
