The force is not strong with this one.
A woman in a Darth Vader mask was arrested early Tuesday morning following a robbery in Vancouver.
Police said the 20-year-old accosted another woman on Wolf Avenue near Oak Street while disguised as the infamous Star Wars villain.
With her lightsabre apparently in the shop, the suspect allegedly pulled out a fake handgun and demanded cash. After receiving a small sum of money, she fled the scene.
“Unfortunately for this robber, she underestimated the power of the force,” Sgt. Randy Fincham said in a statement. “We are always a phone call away by dialing 911.”
The victim reported the robbery to police and a suspect was located a short distance away wearing the same mask and carrying a replica gun, Fincham said.
She was taken into custody without incident and faces robbery and weapons charges.
The 23-year-old victim was uninjured.
