One man is in custody after a hotel stabbing in Victoria that sent five people to the hospital with injuries.
Saanich police have closed off the area around Red Lion Inn on Douglas Street after the incident happened around 4:15 p.m.
Guests staying at the hotel are being allowed to return to their rooms, but police have indicated that if they do, they must stay in their rooms.
Few details about the stabbing are known at this point. The hotel is expected to be on lockdown for the remainder of the day.
