First responders are reminding the public about the dangers of cliff jumping after a man was injured doing a stunt in Lynn Canyon Sunday.

Firefighters said three men in their mid-20s were cliff jumping in the Twin Falls area shortly after 5 p.m. when one of them slipped and fell, suffering a head injury.

He then submerged underwater but his friends managed to pull him out.

Paramedics and members of the District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services responded to the accident, and transported the man to hospital using spinal precautions.

The extent of his injuries is unknown, but the B.C. Ambulance Service said he was in stable condition when being taken away from the scene.

Firefighters and rescue crews urge people to heed all warnings in Lynn Canyon, and to think twice before cliff jumping in the park.

Earlier this year, Cole Marsh, a 17-year-old boy from Port Coquitlam, drowned after leaping from a cliff into the rushing waters of Lynn Creek.
