The Vancouver Whitecaps (0W-0L-3D) finish their Nurtrilite Canadian Championship play in a match with only pride on the line, against the Toronto FC (2W-0L-1D) Wednesday night at BMO Field in Toronto.

Toronto clinched the Voyageurs Cup last week after Vancouver failed to claim three points against Montreal while on their three-game road stint.

The ‘Caps played to a 1-1 draw in Montreal after giving-up a one-goal lead in the second half of the match. The club now tries to end their tournament on a positive note against Toronto.

"I would like to use our game in Toronto as good preparation for our league match at home on Sunday," head coach Teitur Thordarson told WhitecapsFC.com.

Vancouver isn't looking at their date with Toronto as meaningless. Despite falling out of contention for Voyageurs Cup the ‘Caps will try and spoil TFC's perfect record and make a statement against their future MLS rivals.

The ‘Caps enter the MLS in 2011, making Vancouver, Toronto matchups the first-ever all-Canadian battles in Major League Soccer.

Toronto's game will be a restless one. The club knows no matter the outcome, when the final whistle blows, they enjoy a championship celebration in front of a home crowd.

"It's nice to be named champions and advance in this competition," TFC head coach Preki said to CanadaSoccer.com. "We took the pressure off ourselves."

Toronto will return to the CONCACAF Champions League for the 2010-11 season having secured the Nutrilite Championship for the second consecutive year.

TFC will match up against Club Deportivo Motagua of Honduras in July and travel to Tegucigalpa, Honduras in August.

Wednesday's match marks the sixth all-time meeting between Vancouver and Toronto. The ‘Caps hold an edge over TFC with a record of two wins, one defeat and two draws since 2008.

The game also marks the final time Vancouver will play Toronto as a USSF D-2 team. The next time the clubs go head-to-head Vancouver will boast the name of an MLS squad.
