Police in Surrey, B.C., have identified the female victim in last week's suspected murder-suicide as Marianthi Teresa Tsanas, a 25-year-old Surrey resident.
Tsanas was found lying in the middle of the road suffering from fatal gunshot wounds in a Cloverdale neighbourhood around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday.
A 34-year-old man wanted in connection with the shooting was later found dead of self-inflicted gunshot wounds in a car outside a Guildford home.
Police have not yet released the man's name, but say he was in a relationship with Tsanas and is the only suspect in her murder.
Neighbours told CTV News last week that the man's name was Aaron Ogrodnick, the long-time boyfriend of Tsanas, and that the pair was having relationship problems.
