Vancouver police are on the hunt for two brazen thieves who robbed a jewelry store in a downtown mall Sunday evening.

According to a news release issued by police, the two men entered La Swiss Watch City Jewelry Store in Pacific Centre Mall at around 5:15 P.M.

One held staff at gunpoint while the other smashed display cases and both men scooped up watches and jewels.

As they made off with bags full of stolen goods they released a cloud of bear spray, sending two mall shoppers to hospital for treatment but causing no other major injuries, police said.

The two suspects are described as white men in their 40s wearing black hoodies and black pants.

Anyone with information on the robbery or who witnessed it is asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
