KAMLOOPS, B.C. - It will be fall before a trial begins for a man accused of killing his three children in Merritt, B.C., last year.

Jury selection for the first-degree murder trial of Allan Schoenborn will start on Oct. 5.

The trial will start immediately after and is expected to last four weeks.

The date was set in B.C. Supreme Court in Kamloops on Monday, and Schoenborn was not present.

The bodies of his three children - 10-year-old Kaitlynne, eight-year-old Max and five-year-old Cordon - were found in their home by their mother on April 6.

Schoenborn was captured 10 days later by an experienced woodsman on the outskirts of Merritt.
