A substitute teacher charged with sexual assault against his students has been arrested again for criminal harassment, according to court records.
Aleksandr Plehanov, 35, appeared in court on Thursday for a bail hearing on a new harassment charge. He was released with conditions on $1,000 bail and will make his next court appearance on the harassment charge on July 20.
Plehanov was arrested on Tuesday after police were told he had breached the terms of his previous release, according to Coquitlam RCMP.
The substitute teacher has already been charged with one count each of sexual interference, sexual exploitation, sexual assault and sexual touching by a person in a position of power.
The charges relate to alleged incidents involving four students at two Coquitlam schools.
Three of the alleged victims were between seven and eight years old, police say, and in the same Grade 3 class.
