Mounties have arrested a man believed to have abducted a 39-year-old woman from an adult boutique in Kamloops, B.C. on Wednesday.

The suspect's name and age have not been released, but he is a local resident. Const. Bernie Ward said it's too soon to say if he has any connection to the victim.

The victim, who works in the Crystal Blush boutique, disappeared at around 3:30 p.m. and turned up six hours later at the doorstep of a home in the Westmount area suffering undisclosed injuries.

The residents called 911 and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment. Few details of her condition have been confirmed.

"I can say that we were able to speak to her and there's nothing life-threatening," Ward said.

Police believe the abductor entered the woman's workplace, kidnapped her and used her pickup truck to get away.

Local media have reported the vehicle, a white 2004 GMC Sierra extra-cab pickup, was found abandoned overnight.

Moutnies have not released any potential motive for the abduction.
