Mounties in Burnaby, B.C., are asking the public to help identify a young woman who died in the city early Tuesday morning.

She was found unconscious, bearing no obvious injuries, in the 4000-block of Rumble Street at around 12:40 a.m. Police say two good Samaritans saw her lying in the road, called 911 and tried to provide assistance.

She died shortly after at Burnaby General Hospital.

She is described a 20 to 25-year-old Asian female with two scars on her left upper arm. She is approximately 125 lbs., 5-8 tall with long black hair and brown eyes. She was found wearing a white zip-up hoody with a rose insignia on the front, black leggings, black suede ankle boots and a silver heart pendent necklace.

Police say they are treating the death as suspicious until more information becomes available.

Anyone who recognizes the woman's description, or has information about her activities before she was found is asked to contact Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7741.

No arrests have been made.

Update:

RCMP announced Tuesday afternoon that they have identified the woman, but no further details will be released until her family has been notified.
