Police are warning the public that a high-risk sex offender will be living in Vancouver.
Robert Major, 48, is a four-time federal offender with multiple sexual assault convictions and poses a risk of significant harm to girls under 16 years old, according to police.
Major is white, five feet 11 inches tall, weighs about 250 pounds and has blue eyes. He is balding with light brown hair and a goatee.
Major is forbidden from contacting anyone 16 years old or younger, attending public parks, pools, parks or places where children under 16 are reasonably expected to be.
He is not allowed to consume, possess or purchase alcohol, and is banned from entering any liquor or beer and wine stores.
He also has a curfew from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Anyone witnessing Major violating these conditions is asked to call 911.
