They’re known for their fantasy roles on the TV fairy tale drama “Once Upon a Time,” but two Hollywood actresses are now trying to work their magic to bring Uber to Vancouver.

Los Angeles-based actress Jennifer Morrison, who plays bounty hunter and bail bonds collector Emma Swan on the ABC hit show, is currently residing in Vancouver while the fourth season films.

Morrison took to social media to lament the fact that the popular ride sharing service isn’t available in Vancouver, and urged people to sign the online petition to launch the service locally.

“If you live in Vancouver and don't want to be stuck w/out a cab in the rain (like me) please sign the Uber petition!” she tweeted to her 469,000 followers on Nov. 11.

Since it launched last week, more than 17,000 people have signed an online petition urging regulators to allow Uber to launch in B.C.

The ride sharing service has been battling opposition from local and provincial politicians, as well as the taxi industry.

Morrison isn’t the only cast member on the show to speak up about bringing Uber to Vancouver.

Lana Parrilla, who stars as the Evil Queen on the series, also tweeted to her hundreds of thousands of fans.

“Vancouverites: Getting a cab in the cold rain doesn’t have to be so hard. Plz (sic) sign this petition 4 a new experience,” she wrote Tuesday.
