Police are calling the death of a 19-year-old man who was stabbed in a fight on Friday night Vancouver's 15th homicide of 2011.
Police arrived at a suite located in the 5000-block of Main Street around 11:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call and discovered the deceased man's body.
"This was a real tragic outcome. It was some sort of gathering inside the apartment, and it turned very bad, very quickly," Const. Jana McGuinness told CTV News.
A 46-year-old man who was at the suite has been arrested and several other individuals were brought to the Vancouver police station for interviews, McGuinness said.
Investigators are not releasing the victim's name. They also do not know what motivated the violence or how well the two men knew each other.
