An alleged member of the Hells Angles motorcycle gang, who is facing extradition to the United States, has been arrested in Fort. St. John, B.C.

The RCMP said Brian Lee Hall was gearing up to take part in a motorcycle drag racing event when he was arrested by Fort. St. John RCMP on July 18.

Police say Hall is a member of the Hells Angels' Mission City Chapter

In making the arrest, the Fort St. John detachment received backing from the RCMP's Greater Vancouver Drug Section which had secured an extradition warrant for Hall's arrest.

In the United States, Hall has been indicted for alleged conspiracy to import and distribute marijuana, alleged attempted bulk cash smuggling, and alleged conspiracy to launder money. These allegations have yet to be tested in a court of law.

Police say Hall was the subject of a two year investigation involving US and Canadian law enforcement initiatives, which resulted in the seizure of large amounts of marijuana and currency.

He has been remanded into custody and was to scheduled to appear before a Supreme Court Judge in Vancouver, Tuesday.
