Police say a man wounded in an early-morning shooting in Vancouver has gang affiliations.
Const. Jana McGuinness says callers to 911 reported hearing several gunshots followed by a vehicle collision just before 4 a.m. on the city's west side.
She says officers arrived to find a 30-year-old North Vancouver man suffering from multiple wounds, and a car up on the sidewalk.
The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Eight blocks of a main thoroughfare were closed for several hours as police canvassed the area for evidence and possible witnesses.
