A Vancouver man has died in hospital after being found with serious injuries in an apartment building on the city’s west side.
Former stock broker Robert Orr was found suffering from one stab wound in the the lobby of the building at 5614 Balsam Street at around 6:30 a.m.
Police were called to the scene after reports of a fight.
The 59-year-old victim was was rushed to hospital, but died later in hospital.
The suspect, a 65-year-old Richmond man, was apprehended and arrested without incident with help from Coquitlam RCMP at around 8:15, according to police.
Friends and family of the victim are saying he was related to the suspect.
Police hope surveillance video from inside the lobby will help them figure out what led to the stabbing.
