Abbotsford police are keeping British Columbia gangs in their sights, serving three warrants in two days and seizing $25,000 cash and a stash of illegal drugs.
In all, three men and one woman police say are linked to the Duhre group are facing drug charges, while a 34-year-old man allegedly linked to the United Nations Gang is accused of cocaine and heroin possession.
The five people were picked up between Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 as the Abbotsford police gang suppression unit and municipal emergency response team members raided three Fraser Valley homes.
Along with the cash seized from accused members of the Duhre group, investigators say more than $48,000 in cocaine was found in the three homes, along with other drugs ranging from heroin to Percocet and marijuana.
The Children's Ministry was also contacted after two children, aged nine months and six years, were found in two of the homes.
Police say 29-year-old Andre Remekie and 23-year-old Shauna Wilson are charged with possession for the purpose trafficking in the bust linked to the cash seizure but names of the other suspects have not been released.
