It's time to roll out the royal red carpet and break out the fine china.

Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, will make two stops in British Columbia next month during an 11-day trip across Canada.

This will be their first trip together as a married couple.

The royal couple will visit Victoria and Vancouver, the prime minister's office announced Saturday. The couple will be here from Nov. 2 to 12.

"The visit by Their Royal Highnesses is a great honour for Canadians," Prime Minister Stephen Harper said in a news release.

"It will allow all of us, particularly young people, an opportunity to learn more about the heritage and traditions of which we are all proud."

The royal couple will visit the following cities during their visit: St. John's, Cupids, and Brigus in Newfoundland; Gatineau and Montreal in Quebec and Ottawa, Toronto, Hamilton, Niagara-on-the Lake, Petawawa in Ontario.

A detailed itinerary will be released closer to the trip date.

"It's very exciting for people who are interested in the royal family and to see the man who will be the king of Canada one day," Victoria, B.C., monarchist Bruce Hallsor said.

The trip will be Camilla's inaugural visit, and Charles' 15th.

This won't be the first time the prince has toured B.C. with a woman at his side. Charles was in Vancouver with Princess Diana in 1986, when the couple opened Canada Place and Expo '86.

Charles visited again with his two sons, Harry and William, several months after Diana's sudden death. The trio hit the slopes of Whistler.

The Queen and Prince Philip are scheduled to visit Canada in 2010.
