The BC Lions will not be renewing the contract of quarterbacks coach Steff Kruck.

Kruck is coming off his fifth season overseeing the team's quarterbacks. In 2009, BC's signal callers ranked sixth in average passing yards per game (253.8 yards) and fourth in completition percentage (60.8), while throwing for 27 touchdowns which was second best in the league.

The Lions finished the season in fourth place in the West Division, but their 8-10 record earned them the cross-over spot, where they defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the East semifinal. However, in the East Final they were blown out by the eventual Grey Cup Champion Montreal Alouettes.

Kruck has appeared as a guest coach for five Canadian Football League teams, including the Lions, Calgary Stampders, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Ottawa Rough Riders and Toronto Argonauts.
