More than 400 B.C. Government and Service Workers Union members are off the job today as rotating strike action moves to Prince George, Dawson Creek, Burns Lake, Cranbrook and Nelson.
Staff at ministry of forests operations in those cities will stage one-day walkouts to pressure the government to resume stalled negotiations.
Government workers have been without a contract since the end of March.
Wages are the main issue in the dispute with the union seeking an improvement on the 3.5 per cent increase offered in a two year contract.
